◎ Project Overview
　　The Yichang Pinghu Peninsula Tourism Zone Project is the first project of the "One River and Two Mountains" tourism development projects of Hubei Province, and is a core project of "building western Hubei ecological and cultural tourism circle" of Hubei Province. It is of great strategic significance to reinforce Yichang\'s strength as a tourism city and enrich the connotation of being the hydropower tourism destination in the world.
　　It is adjacent to the built-up area between the mouth of Xiling Gorge and the Gezhouba Project.  Pinghu peninsula is surrounded by water and scenic spots including Jiangjun Rock, Xianao Creek, Niuzhaping. It features hydroelectricity, landscape, and culture. It will be popular with beautiful scenery, world-class tourism resources, and convenient transportation.
　　The Pinghu Peninsula Tourism Zone has a planned area of about 10 square kilometers, and recently the construction of the core area of about 1.1 square kilometers (1660 acres) has started.
　　The total investment of the Project is about 5.3 billion yuan.
　　Currently, residents at Pinghu Peninsula are being relocated when the resettlement housing has basically completed.
　　◎  Cooperation Mode of the Project
　　The land for the project was sold with public bidding, and the investor, after winning the bid and land tenure, started the construction of the project.
　　◎  Construction Period of the Project
　　The construction of the Project started in 2013 and will be completed in 2015.
