The Lianzi Cliff is located at the south bank of the Xiling Gorge, between the Bingshu Baojian Gorge and the Niugan Mafei Gorge. On 30 degree of the north latitude, there is a chapped mountain near the gateway of Bingshu Baojian Gorge, named Lianzi Cliff. And it used to be called " Suozhu Mountain " or "Suo Mountain".

The mystery of Lianzi Cliff lies in the new beach, which is an ancient landslide. The fissures on Lianzi Cliff were formed by the interaction of geological processes and human activities. According to historic records, in the first 12 years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, 21 times large landslides happened there, which had ever resulted in 2 cutoff ( 1921,1982 ) of the Yangtse River. There are 2.5 million cubic stones. You can Cracks criss-crossing can be seen from the bottom of Lianzi Cliff, with the largest crack  of about 6m to 7m in width, 100m in depth.
