Baibao Stockade, located in Dangyang City in the central part of Hubei Province, which faces the Three Gorges in the west, Jinzhou, Wuhan in the east,and Jinmen, Xiangfan in the north. It is a historical and cultural site and a main scenic spot of our country. With its graceful water and marvellous mountains, Baibao Stockade, also known as "Little Guilin", is the only place in the central part of China with Danxia landform features, and perfectly integrates with rivers, mountains, humanities, wonders and ecologies.

The graceful water and marvellous mountains are the striking features of Baibao Stockade. This scenic spot lies between Gonghe Reservoir, one of the top 100 largest reservoirs, and Qinglong lake. Though with a low capacity, the excellent water surroundings and abundant grass land, wet land make Qinglong lake an optimal habitat for various wildlife.
