The Sixi Ecotourism Site is situated in the Maoping Town of Zigui County, Hubei Province (on the south bank of the Yangtze River). It is 12 km away from the Three Gorges Dam and the Zigui City. The tourists can enjoy the graceful ecological environment and unique natural landscapes in the Site. Its core area covers 9 km2 and the area stretches 20 km2.

Mountains, rivers, lakes, streams, bamboos, trees, caves and waterfalls all together make up of the integrated system of the Site. The key scenic spots are as follows: the Jade Hare Peak, the Maple and Bamboo Range, the Golden Pheasant Heralding Dawn, and the Human and Buddhist, etc.

The Site enjoys convenient transportation and perfect infrastructures and most of the minor sites including the Dragon King Cave, the Bathing Pool, the Park of Famous Bamboos, the Sandiaoshui Waterfall and the Extinguished Botanical Garden are open to the tourists.
